The Mishneh Torah collection by Maimonides is a summary of the oral Torah, it contains 14 books (hence the nickname “HaYad HaHazaka”).
This book is the third quarter of the Mishne Torah and is for those who want to know the principles and procedures of the Holy Temple in Israel as written by the greatest arbiter of Jewish law, The Great Eagle.
In this volume Maimonides deals with the halachas of the Temple. And it includes:
First described are communal sacrifice in the Book of Service, then the personal sacrifices in the Book of Offerings and finally the purity of body and mind in the Book of Purity.
The second half deals with the way to get to the divine inspiration in Israel by worship at the Temple which brings man and the society to a clean and pure state of mind.
