About The Daily Rambam
The daily Rambam, founded by the Lubavitcher Rebbe, is a daily learning of a chapter of Maimonides’ HaYad HaHazaka. Its goal is to unite all jews in learning so every Jew will learn the whole Torah systematically in a set amount of time.
When learning together with tens of thousands of Jews in Israel and abroad there is great unity between the learners. In addition almost everywhere people go they can find a partner or a talk about the same topic.
Maimonides’ book HaYad HaHazaka is the only book which contains and summarizes the whole Oral Torah.
As Maimonides himself Indicates in his introduction to the book: “I saw that I would compose a book that would include all the laws and commandments and nothing will be left out. And aside from the written Torah no book other than this would be needed in order to know the whole Torah d’oraita or d’rabbanan.”
- Three chapters a day:
The inclusive learning track, in this track the ‘Yad HaHazaka’ is completed within about a year. This track is for those who can put a lot of time a day into learning (1-1.5 hours per day), because the study in this track is naturally not all inclusive, learning a halacha or part of one inclusively is required.
- One chapter a day:
The recommended track for every jew, requires a small amount of time (20-30 minutes per day), in this track the ‘Yad HaHazaka’ is completed after three years.
- Learning Sefer Hamitzvot:
The track for those who wish to cover all the laws from the written Torah in a short period of time (10-15 minutes) in this track you will cover all the laws within about a year. You will learn e mitzvas coresponding to those of the three chapter a day track, and finish with them.
